I’ve been walking around pretty much like a zombie for the past two weeks, living off coffee and redbull to keep me going throughout the day which just leaves me enough energy to write blog posts at midnight. The process to get my blog live and running has been quite the mental and physical challenge but I couldn’t be more excited to announce and publish my first blog post because the feeling is totally worth it… and it’s here!
Globally Ghetto –> Young, Broke, and Fabulous:-]]
Globally Ghetto covers the topics you will want to know about — fashion, culture, beauty, global street-style, and awesomeness— to inspire you and share a passion for innovation and fashion.
So first, let me introduce myself- My name is Theresa Gyamfuwaa, but I prefer to go by Theresa G. I started this blog to share with you my personal style and inspire you with a weekly dose of street-style, thoughtful insights and artistic fashion. I love fashion, I believe that fashion is a form of art and self-expression and that it symbolises our culture, art, music and history. I can’t place where my passion for fashion really started, however I have a particular memory that takes me back to my primary school days where every Friday lunch break I would get my classmates to push the tables aside and make enough room so I could do a catwalk. I think it’s fair to say my interest started at a fairly young age!
Another love of mine is innovation —following new developments in fashion and lifestyle feeds my curious mind— I love to discover and try new things out. I believe that an innovative lifestyle is the way to solve most of the problems in the world. Innovation and fashion go hand in hand, but for some reason it takes years before innovation hits the streets, even though most innovative ideas are inspired by street culture and style. Globally Ghetto aims to become a bridge between the two worlds, I will share street-style inspiration and insightful innovative ideas with the street.
